Welcome to our wedding website, we can’t wait to celebrate our special day with you. We’ve created this site as a convenient and interactive way to share all the important details with you in the lead up to our wedding.

Our Story

Growing up in California, the Pacellis and the Egkans grew to be great family friends. Justin and John went to school together from kindergarten through high school and then both went to college in Arizona. While John attended ASU in Tempe, Justin attended the U of A a couple hours south in Tucson.

Justin graduated in May of 2016 and held his graduation party at the Kalway’s ranch house – this is where John and Chelsey’s love story began. Living in Tucson and being a distant cousin to the Egkans, Chelsey and her family attended Justin’s graduation party as well.

We talked for hours that night getting to know each other. By the end of the night, John had offered to fix Chelsey’s broken laptop and asked Chelsey to text him in the morning to pick up the computer on his way out of town. 

The next morning, as requested, Chelsey texted John to take him up on his offer but he had comically forgotten and was already on his way back to Phoenix. We continued to text each other daily for the next few weeks. 

John told Chelsey that his neighbor would be watching his Doberman puppy, Torque, for two weeks while he was on vacation. Chelsey, being a huge dog lover, begged him to let her watch Torque while he was away. John gave in and brought Torque down to Tucson to drop him off at the Miller’s, and this is when John took Chelsey out on their first date. We talked about religion, politics, finances, and everything else you’re not supposed to discuss on your first date – this is when we both knew we were meant for each other. 

A year later, we celebrated our one-year dating anniversary in Hawaii with the Pacellis. Shortly after, Chelsey moved in with John and Torque in Gilbert, Arizona. After a year and a half of living together we added Lola, our Weimaraner, to the family and in November of 2018, we moved into our first house. Over the next couple of years, we created many memories together refurbishing our new home.

On September 9, 2020 at South Ponto Beach in Carlsbad, California, John got down on one knee and asked Chelsey to be his wife. A month later, we sold our house in Mesa and relocated to Florida after John accepted a position with a very successful company in Fort Myers. Last month we moved into a brand new house. Needless to say, between John’s new job, getting settled in our new home, and planning the wedding, we’ve been very busy! We wouldn’t have it any other way!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone in November!
